Session 3, Hopper House- scroll down for more

Our third session, with a male model, Angel, was another success. Sketches displayed were done by: Mariet VanDerHeide, Carol Chung, Sarah Rothbank, Kerrie Sansky, Miriam Schulman, Marcia Heisler, Janet Hamlin and Ashley Newcomb. Please scroll down to see more. On a side note, a video link regarding my work was erroneously uploaded to this blog- was meant to go on my personal blog. I really want to keep the focus on what we as a group are doing in these figure drawing workshops. I'm so pleased with what I'm seeing coming out of these sessions- a wonderful diversity of styles.

Session 3, Hopper House

What a fantastic series we're building with these sessions! Our model was Angel and he gave us some wonderful classic poses.

Session 2, Fall 2008

We had a fantastic model, Jean Sapione and some great energy tonight- featured here, drawings by Marcia Heisler, Brad Bowersox, and Janet Hamlin. Next week we'll have a male mode, hope to see you then!

Please scroll down two more posts to see the complete gallery of last week's drawing session. We had a great turnout.

8-21-2008 session, cont'd

Some more lovely studies from our most recent session. One more post to follow.

8-21-2008 session

Here are a few of the drawings from our recent re-opening of Hopper House Figure drawing. We debuted three new drawing benches, made with materials purchased from a generous donor. We have enough to build an additional 4, to be brought in as time allows to make them. Our model was Bobbi Golden- great as always. The posting is only allowing 3- so will post another series right away to be all-inclusive.

Sessions to start again soon!

Hello all, I have a very busy but wonderful summer, and hope you all have as well. Now, the Jazz sessions are done and our Thursday spot has opened up for figure drawing so we will begin as of this Thursday August 21 from 7:30-10 and continue weekly. I hope to see you and look forward to starting back up! I'm booking the models in the next few days, and will post this week's model. We will also revisit the design of this blog; the slideshows are fantastic but have bogged our site down. We will go back to either a single rotating slideshow or still images, so there will be no more disappointments. Looking forward to seeing you all, best, Janet

More to be uploaded soon

Images are not uploading, so I'll check back and upload the rest of the images Monday. My apologies for those who don't see their work up yet!

More for the figure gallery

I'm just going to keep adding these up. Keep scrolling down for the whole show!

Summer break July 3-Aug 14th

Our slideshows have not been loading, so I'm switching over to stills. I will also be uploading the prior week's sessions so we'll have a virtual gallery up over the summer. I can't say enough how much i've enjoyed these sessions, and look forward to picking back up August 21st.
