Our participants for this past week included Michael Houghton, Mariet Vanderheide, Christie Washburn, Marcia Heisler, Susan Gerwirtz, and Fred- our model was Lalainya, herself quite an accomplished artist.

We had quite a turnout that included artists Kelly Clark, Carol Lusignan, Laura Josephson , Sarah Rothbaum, Kerrie Sanrhy, Julia Retukerkx, Carol Chung, Janet Hamlin,Fred, and a few others. Thursday session

Hello fellow figure artists, Our next model this week will be an African-american female, and we've got a great line-up the next few months. I'm trying to bring in male models when possible, and had hoped to alternate M/F but there are less on my roster. Regardless of gender, we've got a really wonderful group of models lined up. I'll list them weekly. See you Thursday!

Our third session, with a male model, Angel, was another success. Sketches displayed were done by: Mariet VanDerHeide, Carol Chung, Sarah Rothbank, Kerrie Sansky, Miriam Schulman, Marcia Heisler, Janet Hamlin and Ashley Newcomb. Please scroll down to see more. On a side note, a video link regarding my work was erroneously uploaded to this blog- was meant to go on my personal blog. I really want to keep the focus on what we as a group are doing in these figure drawing workshops. I'm so pleased with what I'm seeing coming out of these sessions- a wonderful diversity of styles.

We had a fantastic model, Jean Sapione and some great energy tonight- featured here, drawings by Marcia Heisler, Brad Bowersox, and Janet Hamlin. Next week we'll have a male mode, hope to see you then!
