No session on Thanksgiving

Posting a notice now that we will not have a session on Thanksgiving. However, gather your drawings and please submit for the show, two framed ready to hang pieces of art that you did during the sessions here. I would really love to show the great variety of styles and talent you all possess. tonight's (Oct 30) model is Bobbi Golden- so get your supplies and see you later!

October 23 2008 session

The show went on while I was away, with a shout of thanks to Liz Sayles for monitoring. The model was Jean Sapione, tremendous and the art produced looks wonderful as you can see. Come join us! We are having a show. Details to follow.

Artists represented here include Laila Younis, Sophie Younis, Jake Sokdov-Gonzalez, Mariet Vander Heide, Michael H, Marcia Heider, Liz, and Janet Hamlin. I'm happy to announce that we will be having 'Focus on the Figure' , a show of the work we've done in these sessions. We will be able to display the work during the month of December. I will put out more information later, but put aside any art you've done at these sessions for consideration. Coming up to model this Thursday is a female model, very classic and very experienced. New to our venue. Elizabeth Sayles will be facilitating while I am absent this week. See you on the 30th!

Riverspace Call For Entries

Riverspace is sending out a call for entries for a small works show. All entries should be 4x6 in size, and will be auctioned off in order to support Visual Arts Education at Riverspace. Any media welcome (photo and digital prints o.k.)Free sized paper is available if needed and can be picked up at Riverspace. We had a large group drawing last night and the model was Lalainya. Great energy!

WE had Nick model again as our scheduled model could not make it, but had kindly asked Nick to please cover for her. It all worked out. A few of us ventured out, and some beautiful figure studies were produced. What a pleasure for me- I so enjoy this creative community. Those who attended last night include: Jen Garcia, Mariet Van der Heide, Erin Higgins, Christie Washburn, Janet Hamlin, and the talented young Liz Meyer.
