A Tuesday alternative

Hello fellow figure artists, Tonight I will bring some cd's on 'drawing the figure' by Loomis, an out-of-print book that is an excellent resource. My gift to those that can make it! We will have a male model this evening, and draped female next week, and then no sessions during the jazz series. while we're on break there is a great 6-session class on pastels, Tuesday evenings- you may be interested in giving it a try. Here is the information: The Art of Pastel at RoCA starts again 7/1! In the last session we studied the work of Wayne Thiebaud , the California Colorist, and also the Synchronists who used color and shapes in Amazing ways. Pastel is one of the purest of the mediums and this class will concentrate on its unique qualities. Many great artists such as Degas and Toulouse Lautrec used pastels, either for color studies or finished pieces, We will explore the different ways to use pastels, and pastel pencils. Students will also learn how to keep the colors clean and how to layer colors. We will work on different projects in class and will learn to use pastels in new and exciting ways. All levels welcome. A materials list will be sent upon registration. Elizabeth Sayles $175 :: Seniors $165 S22 6 sessions starting Tues. July 1 6:30-9:30pm click HERE to sign up
